Description: This is a great career opportunity with a large, stable manufacturing company who is seeking to fill a very responsible Vice President of Internal Audit position. This position will be responsible for assessing matters ranging from financial to data processing for the Company. The individual’s impartial and independent evaluation will aid in the effectiveness of both management and the staff by providing them with analysis, feedback and recommendations.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for communicating to Executive Management and the Board of Directors on all policies, activities and programs of the Internal Audit Department.
· Responsible for developing and updating all audit programs, schedules, systems and procedures to accomplish goals of the Department including reviewing and publishing Audit Reports.
· Consult with management and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors and participate in SOX Steering Committee meetings
· Maintain all compliance with accounting and audit policies. Ensure that all accounting and auditing principles and policies are followed and evaluate the effectiveness of internal accounting procedures and operating systems and controls.
· Assist management in evaluating and aggregating identified control deficiencies that have not been resolved at year-end for management certifications and financial reporting purposes.
· Supervise and review all direct reports and participate in training of staff
· Perform audit-related special projects as assigned.
· Understanding of EDP auditing
Requirements:
· BS degree in Accounting or Finance
· Masters Degree desired
· CPA or CIA certification
· 7 years at the manager or director level in Internal Audit
· 5-10 years experience in a manufacturing environment or distribution
Additional: Extensive travel both domestic and international
Compensation: $150K Base plus 20% bonus potential and car
