Description: A key player within the IT industry is seeking a Network Implementation Engineer.

Responsibilities:
· Network implementation responsible to stage, configure, test and bring online all needed network equipment. Network equipment including, but not limited to:

• Cisco switches: 6509, 4948, 3750 and 2960


• Cisco router / terminal server 2811


• Infinistream network sniffer


• Cisco DWDM equipment

· Working with Lehman Engineering and Operations to review high level network design and develop physical implementation plan.
· Coordinate equipment ordering; manage equipment inventory and installation logistics.
· Implement various network equipment from engineering design and specifications to building configuration, staging, connectivity patching, testing and production turn-up.
· Coordinate with cabling infrastructure construction team and facility hardware group, schedule equipment installation, testing with production services before bringing system online.
· Produce network as-built documentation and handoff to operations.
· Support day to day network changes and connectivity solutions
· This individual will be working at the following locations:

• New York City, NY


• Jersey City, NJ


• Livingston, NJ


• Cranford, NJ


• Piscataway, NJ

· Support after hour and weekend work as required per schedule changes

Requirements:
· Minimum of 3 years of professional Cisco routing and switching experience.
· Experience with:

• Cisco switches: 6509, 4948, 3750 and 2960


• Cisco router / terminal server 2811


• Infinistream network sniffer


• Cisco DWDM equipment
