Description: Transformer Design Engineer with solid experience in designs and applications of LV Dry Type Distribution Transformers rated 600 volt class up to 1000kVA serving Distributors, Commercial, Utility and Industrial markets in the Electrical Equipment Industry. The successful candidate will be a Team Leader that controls each step of the product design and manufacturing from inception to completion.

Responsibilities:
· Reviewing customer specification requirements, propose alternatives to resolve any technical issues
· Creating designs according to specifications
· Evaluating electrical and mechanical design calculations and parameters with regard to complexity, reliability, and manufacturability
· Review and approve testing requirements and results
· Evaluating pricing and total cost including loss evaluations
· Ensure compliance with all Industry Standards
· Contribute to design reviews, cost reduction and quality improvement programs.

Requirements:
· Must have B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering; Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
· Must have a minimum of 5 - 7 years experience in designing and applications of LV Dry Type Distribution Transformers rated 600 volt class to 1000kVA and below.
· Must have knowledge of the various design applications such as low temperature rise, motor drive, harmonic rated, and special enclosures.
· Thorough knowledge of ANSI, NEMA, CSA, UL and other industry standards.
· Must be authorized to work in the US.
· Excellent communication and problem solving skills required to provide technical support to manufacturing, marketing, and customers

Compensation: $65,000 to $75,000 per year depending on experience.
