Description: Our client is a privately held developer and manufacturer of high-performance, custom pressure-sensitive adhesives, tapes, coatings, specialty films and laminates, serving various electronics applications. We are seeking a uniquely qualified individual to manage and sell the company’s technologies and capabilities to meet “unmet end-product needs” via development programs. Stated differently, the primary focus of this job is to identify ideal customers to partner with to develop new products for unresolved end-product problems. The position reports to the Electronic Business Unit (EBU) Manager and is responsible for developing new product/application opportunities east of the Mississippi river. The travel content of the job will be 50% or more of working time.

Responsibilities: The primary duties of the position may include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Travel throughout the territory to actively sell the company’s technologies and services to established accounts to achieve solutions to new adhesion/coating challenges;
· Create incremental business with new accounts via the initiation of product development partnerships to address solutions for unmet problems;
· Maximize new project success by identifying all the key elements of product development (product performance, manufacturability, end-product cost, etc. (Miller Heiman selling techniques));
· As a team member, actively participate in the Product Development Process, driving timely completion of key milestones;
· Develop sales plans and customer proposals to meet EBU goals;
· Manage and update monthly forecasts on existing and new product programs for distribution throughout the company;
· Gather and communicate market/competitive intelligence and provide recommendations for pricing strategies;
· Perform other duties assigned by the EBU Manager.

Requirements:
· BS Degree in Electronics or Chemical Engineering preferred. BS/BA Degree in Business also acceptable with background in adhesives;
· Minimum of 3-5 years of selling experience, preferably with 2 years selling custom applications within the electronics industry;
· Must have strong problem-solving skills and have an ability to uncover unmet needs;
· Good listening and communication skills (verbal and written);
· 50+% overnight travel;
· Basic knowledge in negotiating confidentiality agreements, development and supply contracts;
· Project management experience is a plus, along with the ability of think strategically;
· Must be able to work in a team environment;
· Candidate’s home-office must be within 2 hours commute to York, PA.

Compensation: Base Salary of $65K to $75K (depending on experience), with a realistic potential for 20% bonus.
