Description: A key player within the aerospace industry is seeking a Director of Operations.

Responsibilities:
· Reviews and establishes production schedules based on product introduction, efficiency, materials supply and personnel resources; directs activities through subordinate managers and supervisors to maximize production objectives, maintain quality and attain output requirements that are consistent with cost and delivery conditions.
· Notifies assigned staff of production and/or material problems and coordinates with support groups to resolve operational problems affecting schedules.
· Establishes and modifies operational methods and processes by determining changes in materials, equipment, and procedures; develops and establishes departmental standards and practices.
· Directs production activities with other functions such as materials, marketing, new product development, customer service, manufacturing engineering, quality inspection, among others.
· Plans and directs procedures and budgets; makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor.
· Plans and develops schedules and personnel requirements for assigned areas.
· Directs and controls the activities of a broad functional area, through department managers within the company having overall responsibility for planning, budgeting, implementing and maintaining costs, quality, methods, delivery requirements, and associates.
· Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s guidelines, procedures and policies plus applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S.) from four-year college or university; and minimum eight years related experience and/or training.
· Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
· Must be able to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.
· Must be able to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
· Must have minimum Six Sigma Green Belt; Black Belt Preferred with Lean Certification

Compensation: $100k - $127k
