Description: A key player within the aerospace industry is seeking a Certification Engineer.
Responsibilities:
· Research, planning, and execution of the FAA certification
· Process stress and structures analysis
· Perform intermediate to advanced FEA assignments
· Represent certification and structures in design reviews
· Compile FAA certification documentation for submittal to OEM's and regulatory agencies
· Support design optimization tasks (weight reduction)
· Administer flammability certification efforts (FAR 25.853)
· Material selection and material spec correlation
· Provide technical leadership to a small group of temporarily assigned engineers and technicians
Requirements:
· Experience working in an FAA regulated environment
· Experience in aircraft interiors certification is preferred
· Knowledge of the TSO and/or TC/STC process
· Experience with Boeing and/or Airbus certification procedures a plus!
· Background in dynamic testing per FAR 25.562
· Knowledge of basic materials used in the Aerospace industry
· Background in materials qualification and specs
· Knowledge of flammability qualification process
